My travels take me across the country. Music Methods, Marching Band Techniques, all-school music convocations and cNAfME chapters have been my primary focus at colleges and universities, along with clinics for beginning teachers at various State conferences and conventions.
Session topics are of a practical nature and revolve around “real world” situations that students and young teachers will be facing in the classroom. Certain occasions call for offering all of the essential techniques. Others, suggest very specific areas that best fit the needs of attendees. Participants are given the opportunity for active dialogue and discussion.
As music educators, we make a difference in the lives of our students. Leading and inspiring young people is an exhilarating honor and privilege. However, it is not an easy endeavor.
